During his visit, Prof. Dr. Le Bo Linh attended the 15th APEC Conference on Cooperation in Higher Education (APEC CCHE), held on the sidelines of EEF 2026, which brought together representatives and experts to exchange views on higher education cooperation and connectivity in the Asia-Pacific region.
He also participated in the international research workshop “Crossroads of Civilizations: The Role of Transport Integration in the History of the Asia-Pacific Region,” organized by the Russian Historical Society on the sidelines of the Forum. At the workshop, Prof. Dr. Le Bo Linh delivered a presentation entitled “The Role of Transport Connectivity in the Asia-Pacific Region in Vietnam’s Economic Development and International Integration.”

In his presentation, Prof. Dr. Le Bo Linh examined the strategic role of transport connectivity in promoting economic development and international integration. He highlighted Vietnam’s geo-economic position as a gateway connecting continental and maritime economic spaces, while discussing the development of multimodal transport infrastructure, including deep-sea ports, cross-border economic corridors and international railway connections.
A particular focus of the presentation was placed on the potential for Vietnam Russia transport and logistics cooperation through the Russian Far East, including connectivity between Vietnamese seaports and the ports of Vladivostok and Vostochny, as well as the Trans-Siberian Railway (TSR). The presentation emphasized the potential of multimodal sea rail corridors to strengthen trade connectivity between Vietnam, Russia and the wider Eurasian region.
The presentation also highlighted the importance of modernizing multimodal transport infrastructure, digitalizing logistics, harmonizing technical standards and facilitating cross-border trade. Among the proposed directions were stronger cooperation between Vietnamese and Russian transport and logistics enterprises, as well as enhanced connectivity within the frameworks of APEC, ASEAN and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).
Another important activity was the Vietnam Russia Strategic Technology Connectivity Forum 2026, themed “Transforming Research Cooperation into Projects, Products and Markets,” jointly organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology of Vietnam and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation. During the Forum, Prof. Dr. Le Bo Linh held a working session with representatives of the Institute for China and Contemporary Asia, Moscow School of Management, discussing opportunities to strengthen research and institutional cooperation.

Prof. Dr. Le Bo Linh also attended the Launching Ceremony of the Russia Vietnam Knowledge Network, contributing to the expansion of academic, research and knowledge-based connections between institutions and experts from the two countries.
Prof. Dr. Le Bo Linh’s participation in EEF 2026 contributed to strengthening IESS’s international academic engagement and expanding cooperation with research institutions, universities and other partners in Russia and the Asia-Pacific region. The activities also provided an opportunity for IESS to share Vietnamese perspectives on regional connectivity, transport integration, economic development and Vietnam Russia cooperation.
